Vizhinjam port: nod for revised proposals

The government has approved subject to conditions the revised proposals for developing basic facilities and connectivity as part of the first stage of the Vizhinjam Port Project submitted by the director board of Vizhinjam International Seaport Ltd.
The development of basic facilities, which includes land acquisition,
construction of road and rail line, electrification and water supply,
construction of site office, disposal of waste water and environmental
study, is estimated to cost Rs.450 crore.It also cleared the appointment of the International Finance Corporation as the project advisers.
