Throughput of Temryuk seaports to reach 60m tonnes by 2020

  • Annual freight traffic volumes through the seaports of Temryuk district of the Krasnodar Territory should increase to 60 million tons by 2020, the Krasnodar Territory administration press-service reported citing Vice-Governor Jambulat Khatuov speaking at a meeting with local authorities.

    He assumed that by 2015 the cargo turnover at the local ports would
    exceed 30 million tons

    The Krasnodar top official said the current Taman investment projects
    should rev up that provide growth in cargo volumes.

    “Development of the Taman Peninsula is primarily associated with the
    implementation of investment projects, including of the port area. Our
    main task today is to synchronize plans for the development of railroad
    infrastructure, highway construction and offshore facilities according
    to the 5-year program for the integrated development of the leading
    industries of Krasnodar Territory approved by the Krasnodar Governor”,
    Mr. Khatuov was quoted as saying.
