Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) the new grass route container terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port, has confirmed its deployment of its terminal operating system (TOS), indicating that all software has successfully passed operational testing, as it gets ready to receive its first commercial vessel in Dec 2009.
Choosing the leading maritime IT provider Zebra Enterprise Solutions, a
division of Zebra Technologies as its partner, RSGT becomes the first
Middle East terminal operator to use the next generation, of the Navis™
SPARCS N4 TOS.Currently in place at Durban, Port Elizabeth Container Terminal and
East London Multipurpose Terminal, the Web Based SPARCS N4 operating
system governs the movement of all container logistics and operations
from gate to yard to vessel and offers Red Sea Gateway Terminal
improved customer support, and increased stacking yard capacity. SPARCS
N4 will also provide greater control over resources.‘SPARCS N4 is a fully integrated solution from gate to yard to vessel,
thereby eliminating the manual processes,” said CEO Aamer Ali Reza.
