MSC Adds Charleston port call

Mediterranean Shipping Co. will add Charleston as a port on MSC’s Golden Gate service between Asia and the U.S. East Coast via the Suez Canal.
The service uses 12 vessels with 6,050-TEU capacity on a rotation of
Shanghai; Ningbo; Chiwan; Yantian; Singapore; Salalah; New York-New
Jersey; Baltimore; Norfolk; Charleston; Freeport, Bahamas; Jeddah;
Colombo; Singapore; Chiwan and Hong Kong.The first Charleston call on the revised service will be by the MSC Turchia, departing Shanghai Jan. 15.
