Angang ink long-term and Mitsui Iron Ore Shipping Agreement

  • China Metallurgical News reported that Anshan Iron and Steel Group Co Ltd has signed a long term iron ore shipping agreement with Mitsui OSK Lines Ltd one operator of the world’s biggest fleet of bulk carriers for shipping iron ore and coal.

    Earlier in April 2005, Angang singed three year Brazil iron ore
    transportation cooperation with Mitsui. And this is the first time for
    Angang to clinch a long term transportation agreement with foreign
    shipping company which lays a solid floor for steel mill to import ore
    from Brazil and Austria in the future.

    Mitsui founded in 1884, one of the largest shipping companies in the
    world ranks No 1 with its largest scale of bulk freighter in global
    market.
