Northrop Grumman Receives U.S. Navy Knowledge Management and Process Support contract for integrated logistics service

  •  Northrop Grumman Corporation subsidiary AMSEC LLC has been awarded a task order under the U.S. Navy seaport enhanced contract for logistics knowledge management and process support for Integrated Logistics Services. The services are for hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E) technical data development, maintenance and management subject matters.

    The five-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, cost plus fixed fee contract has a potential value of y$18.7 milliony if fully funded and all options are exercised.

    ‘Northrop Grumman AMSEC is honored to support our nation’s Navy by delivering complete logistics and HM&E services,’ said Harris Leonard, vice president of Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding and president of AMSEC LLC. ‘Our great people are applying a broad range of skills and experience to ensure the products we deliver meet the needs of the men and women proudly serving our country.’

    Northrop Grumman’s portion of the work will be performed primarily at their AMSEC locations in Newport News, Va., and Philadelphia, Pa. The work is expected to be completed by September 2014. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity.

    ‘We have an outstanding relationship with our customer that has developed over many years of providing them world-class logistics services, and we will continue to foster that relationship,’ said William Rumschlag, AMSEC’s program manager for work performed under this contract.

    AMSEC LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northrop Grumman’s Shipbuilding sector, is a full-service provider of engineering, logistics and technical support services to the U.S. Navy and maritime industry.
