Maersk Line has premium increases in the Far East to West Africa known to the trade

Ship Building News | August 21, 2009 | View Comments
  • Maersk Line, as member of the Asia – West Africa Trade Agreement (AWATA), would like to announce rate increases on our services from Asia to West Africa.

The trading conditions for the carriers operating in these markets are still subject to unacceptable rate levels and the situation is unsustainable in the longer term.

The rate increases are necessary to continue to operate our services with the high level of reliability our customers have come to expect from Maersk Line.

    Far East to West Africa

    • USD 250 per TEU effective 15 September 2009

AWATA member lines: China Shipping Container Line, CMA-CGM, Delmas, Gold Star Line, Maersk Line, Mitsui O.S.K. Line, Pacific International Line, and Safmarine.
