Rosneft – largest oil exporter through Primorsk Oil Terminal

  • In the first half of 2009, Rosneft was the largest exporter of oil via Primorsk Oil Terminal LLC (Primorsk, Leningrad region). According to the company’s statistics, Rosneft exported some 13.378 million tonnes of oil (+19.6%, year-on-year).

    The second place in terms of oil export volumes was Lukoil OJSC with 6.194 million tonnes (+5.8%, year-on-year).
    In the reported period, ТNК-ВР Holding has decreased oil transshipment
    via port Primorsk by 29.5% to some 4.615 million tonnes. Surgutneftegaz
    OJSC handled some 4.606 million tonnes (+6.3% as compared with the
    first half of 2008). In January-June, Gazprom Neft OJSC shipped some
    2.919 million tonnes of oil via Primorsk Oil Terminal (-20%,
    year-on-year). KazTransOil increased oil transshipment by 59%,
    year-on-year, to some 2.195 million tonnes.
    All in all, port Primorsk shipped some 36.858 million tonnes of oil in the first half of the year (-0.96%, year-on-year).
    The majority of tankers left Primorsk for the ports of Netherlands (61.2%) and Finland (16%).
