India steel mills to raise prices on steel

  • India Ispat announced to increase the price of all the HRC by US$24-30 per ton. Analysts stated that due to the cost pressure and the hiking the global steel price, Ispat doesn’t have no choice but to adjust up the price.

    India government recently increased the iron ore tariff, which resulted in an increase of US$8-10 per ton in steel price.

    India SAIL and Tata declared that they lifted part steel products’
    price by 1,500 rupees per ton, mainly due to the stronger demand from
    auto industry.

    The prices of long products using for the construction and
    infrastructure kept unchanged, and the prices of flat products were
    29,000-40,000 rupees per ton.
